This website was created using photoshop CS and Dreamweaver 8. I shall try to recreate this website or any website using my technique of using Photoshop as the tool for background images, then Dreamweaver and Fireworks for the mechanical tools to navigate the website. The movie below was created with Lightwave 8. Eventually We'll create movies with Maya7 as well, but for now let's stick to Photoshop CS.
Open Photoshop click the pen tool create a path, start the path outside the white image size (1680X1050) and create a complete closed path. Right click on circuit line inside image and select "make a selection", you will create a new gradient layer. Click layer, "new fill style style" , "gradient". A gradient overlay is something which will mix the colors into bands and add a texture. Give the layer a drop shadow, inner bevel, texture and a satin sheen. Click background layer, select new gradient fill layer. A new gradient fill layer will appear above background. choose whatever colors you like. I like for the gradient "metal steel blue". If the fill layer is inverted go to image/adjustments/inverse.
In Dreamweaver create a new html document. Set the four margins to zero and create a layout table with width="auto stretch" and height="1000". auto strecth avoids the horizontal scroll bar on the bottom. In photoshop create a new layer click on the 'T' and type in some text on the upper left corner for your company name, the new layer names reflect the company name(s). Give it drop shadow, inner glow, bevel and emboss. create a water mark on the top where the banner will go. click 'T', font = poor richard, and type in anything like "Tutorials for web design", use old english text MT, set size to 72. Click on this layer you just made and set gradient to overlay and opacity to 10%. type in other text and try using different fonts for variety. This newest text will create new layers by default. Then save as tmp1.psd.
