In photoshop slice up your template to make a Logo, banner, menu, content, footer then save for web, and save for web as tmp1sliced image and html and use opimization=jpg high.

After creating this template in Photoshop CS which you will save as Template1NoText.psd, Convert to 8 bit RGB color by selecting Image/Mode/RGB color/Merge, then edit in imageready by clicking on the arrow on the bottom of the tools menu. Using the slice tool make slices for the upper banner, left menu, navigation bar, middle content area and lower footer. These slices will later be imported into dreamweaver, but don't worry about this now, lets just stick with pure Photoshop CS for now. Make sure you have: optimize, layers, web content and slice windows open, All these are found under the window menu.

Then click on 'T' for text and add some white text into your navigation glass buttons such as 'vue 5', 'lightwave' or whatever you wan't as this will be your original test template with text. Also add some text to your banner introducing your page. Right click the layers you've just made name them the same as the text in the navigation bar, menu, and banner areas. Select layer style add a drop shadow and inner bevel for each text layer to have a cool 3D effect. Now that you added text layers, save template as Tmp1sliced.psd. All these sections will be stored in directory called images by default and they will all be save in a format such as Tmp1sliced_01.jpg for the logo, 'Tmp1sliced_02.jpg" for the banner, "Tmp1sliced_03.jpg" for the menu etc...
