The Meade Series 4000 1.25" Plossl Eyepiece and Filter Kit is a complete telescope accessory kit that gives you almost everything you need to observe the planets, the Moon, and deep-sky objects.

When you purchase the Meade Series 4000 Eyepiece and Filter Kit you'll get five 1.25" Meade Series 4000 Plossl Eyepieces in focal lengths of 6 mm, 9mm, 13mm, 18mm, and 32mm. You will also receive a 2X Barlow lens, which doubles the magnification of any 1.25" eyepiece you use with it, effectively giving you ten (10) different magnification choices when using the contents of this kit!

To help you view details on the planets, Meade has included a selection of six (6) 1.25" color filters, including Light Red, Light Yellow, Dark Blue, Light Blue, and Green. An ND96 Neutral Density Moon filter is also part of the Meade 1.25" Series 4000 Eyepiece and Filter Kit, allowing you to gaze at the moon without squinting due to brightness. Each filter has 1.25" threads that connect to the barrel of any 1.25" eyepiece. Simply thread your chosen filter on, and then place the eyepiece/filter combo into a 1.25" focuser, diagonal, or Barlow. Filters can be stacked if you wish, but remember that each filter cuts the light coming to your eye by a certain degree, and stacking increases the dimming of the object even further. Experiment to see what works best for your telescope on any given object.

All eyepieces in the Meade Eyepiece and Filter Kit feature a standard 1.25" barrel size, with a 52 Degree apparent field of view and are of a 4-element design with premium optical glass, edge backened lenses, and fully-coated optics for great contrast and light transmission. Each eyepiece in the Meade Eyepiece and Filter Kit has a soft rubber eyeguard for comfort.

Finally, all items come in a very nice aluminum carrying case, with die-cut foam to store all of your eyepieces and filters.
