The Skywatcher SolarQuest is an excellent mount and tripod for strictly solar viewing. It would benefit from having a manual included, however I was able to find the manual online. No need to polar align. All you need to do is level the tripod with bubble level included and press on. Guiding keeps the sun in the middle for long periods of time, sometime you require some fine adjustment which is easy to do.
