The Player One Neptune M Mono is so sensitive @2.4um

The PlayerOne Neptune M Mono camera is well suited to my introduction to narrowband imaging and performed well on three sessions since my purchase.I found the camera to be extremely sensitive and due to its small 2.4um pixels, perfectly suitable to my 102mm refracting telescope's ability to pick up lots of fine detail in the short sessions employed. My tests included using an OIII and Hbeta 2" filters, but no Ha filter was employed. The photo included is of the filament Veil Nebula near Pickering's Triangle using an 18nm OIII filter(1hr@f3.9 - gain 225 offset 50) + Flats, darks & biases. Stacked in DSS and Level stretched with no other editing.
The camera itself is well built, comes with nice accessories and the flat cable is a bonus. My calibration images did not show any great defects, banding nor hot or cold pixels.
The potential for use as a guide camera can not be underestimated, nor can it's planetary and lunar capabilities. I am definitely not employing this camera as directed, more exploring it's fast, lucky imaging narrowband compatibility using fast focal ratio telescopes (F3.9 102mm Refracting & F4.4 154mm imaging Newtonian).
I was extremely happy to find it available and purchase it trouble free at AstronomyPlus.
