The AZ-245 aluminum dew shield fits the Celestron 8' SCT's with lower only or upper and lower dovetails including:

• CGX 800 EdgeHD
• CGEM II 800 SCT
• CGEM II 800 EdgeHD
• Advanced VX 8" SCT
• Advanced VX 8" EdgeHD
• NexStar Evolution 8" SCT
• NexStar Evolution 8" EdgeHD with StarSense

Whether or not you currently have an upper dovetail you will have the capability to add this later (for example if you add a guide scope).

Astrozap aluminum Dew Shields are the original Astrozap flagship products and are rigid, welded aluminum cylinders that are finished in high-quality and durable textured black powder coating. Astrozap aluminum dew shields are designed to be non-reflective inside the tube, to reduce or eliminate stray, off axis light. Black felt lining is included inside the dew shield to protect the finish of your telescope and help in absorbing moisture. There are nylon thumb screws that safely secure the aluminum dew shield to the optical tube. The 4 nylon thumb screws are only to secure the fit and not to replace any screws or go into any screw holes on the telescope.
