Our Sensorless AutoHoming™ feature automatically calibrates the telescope's focuser in multiple directions, even if the tube accidentally moves or if you manually retract it at the end of the session. Don't worry! Our ultra-precise auto-sensing home position system returns the tube to the last focus point applied by the capture program, avoiding position losses and eliminating the need to remember initial settings. Additionally, thanks to our innovative magnetic field study detection system, we can ensure the correct tension of the focuser mechanism, preventing unwanted slippage.

With a resolution of 16,000 steps per revolution or just 0.7 microns, the Merlin 3.0 is on par with the best options available on the market, and best of all, at an affordable price for everyone. Its DirectDrive™ technology, a direct transmission system, avoids the common mechanical play issues found in other products, allowing you to even manually focus when you don't have access to a computer. We have also incorporated our ultra-silent motor system, IntelligentSilentDrive™, which actively adjusts the motor's force for completely noise-free operation.

The Merlin 3.0 is compatible with the most popular capture software on the market, such as APT, SGP, NiNa, Voyager, KStars, EKOS, thanks to its compatibility with ASCOM and INDI standards.
