Astronomy Plus Neutral Density 1.25" Filter Set
Neutral density filters are an essential tool for astronomers and astrophotographers, especially when observing bright objects like the Moon, planets, or stars.
By reducing the amount of light entering the eyepiece, they help cut glare and enhance contrast without distorting the true colors of the objects. These filters typically allow only a small percentage of light to reach the eyepiece, making it much more comfortable to view bright objects like the Moon or Venus.
Unlike color filters, neutral density filters maintain a natural color balance, providing a clearer and more accurate image. They can also be used to dim bright stars or enhance detail when splitting close double stars. Designed to fit 1.25" eyepieces, these filters are durable and can be stacked with other filters for more versatile light control.
This set includes six neutral density filters, offering different levels of light reduction for various observing conditions : 52%, 25%, 12.5%, 6.25%, 3.12%, 1.56%. The filters come neatly stored in a durable aluminum carrying case, ensuring they are protected and easily accessible during your astronomy or astrophotography sessions.
