Très belle lentille, système de mise au point très doux. Par contre, pour la photo avec un APS-C il faut absolument le réducteur/aplanisseur de champ. En effet, le champ plat sans le réducteur n'est que d'environ 10mm. Avec le réducteur, les étoiles sont nettes presque jusque dans les coins d'un capteur APS-C. Lentille (avec réducteur) idéale pour photos à grand champ.

A small yet mighty Titan!

I purchased the Sharpstar 50EDPH scope for use as a tack sharp guide scope but will use it as a dedicated scope once spring arrives. This tiny little triplet is very well built and so is the 0.84 flatterner/reducer. Everything fit together perfect, the fit and finish is excellent and the rack and pinion is smooth, tight and has a satisfying feel when adjusting. Since I am using it initially as a guide scope on my big 115mm triplet refractor, the only images I have checked was with my ASI290mm mini guide camera and the detail was crisp and very sharp at infinity focus on trees 3 miles away. This scope only weighs 1.2 kg with the reducer but it feels solid! Now I await clear skies.
