Starfield Warranty

RMA Number Required 
Prior to the return of any product or part, you must be registered as the current owner, and your RMA Number must be used. If you need help in using your RMA Number call us at 905-487-6363. Each returned product or part shipped to Starfield optics Inc. must include the RMA number, a written statement detailing the nature of the claimed defect, as well as your name, return shipping address, your phone numbers, and email address where we and/or the carrier returning your product can reach you. 

If it has been more than 30 days since the item was purchased, customers are responsible for shipping costs related to returning the product to our facility. In the event, that you must return product to Starfield Optics Inc, we recommend that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns and insure your package for safe return to Starfield Optics Inc. so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you choose not to (1) use a carrier that offers tracking or (2) insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any lost or damaged shipment.

Warranty Coverage Periods By Product: 
Starfield Optics Inc warranties our products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a specified period based on product type to the original owner.  Warranties are not transferable, and will cease if sold to a third party.

Starfield Optics Inc will repair or replace such product or part thereof that upon inspection by Starfield Optics Inc, is found to be defective in materials or workmanship. As a condition to the obligation of Starfield Optics Inc to repair or replace such product, the product must be returned to Starfield Optics Inc together with proof-of-purchase and product registration satisfactory to Starfield Optics Inc. 

Warranty periods by product brand and type are: 

Starfield Optics Inc Branded Telescopes: *Limited* Three Year Warranty once registered within 60 days of purchase

Starfield Optics Inc Branded Filter Wheels : *Limited* Two Year Warranty once registered within 60 days of purchase 

Starfield Optics Inc Branded Dew Heaters and Controllers : *Limited* One Year Warranty once registered within 60 days of purchase 

Starfield Optics Inc Branded accessories : *Limited* One Year Warranty once registered within 60 days of purchase 

Third-Party Products: Warranty is provided by Third Party Manufacturers
 

Non-Starfield Optics In Branded/Third-Party Products

If you discover what you believe is a defective product or software from any third-party product, please contact the manufacturer of such third-party product directly for information regarding the manufacturer’s warranty. Please note that products or software sold through the Starfield Optics Inc online store that do not bear the Starfield Optics Inc name or are not Starfield Optics Inc. brands produced products are serviced and supported exclusively by their manufacturers in accordance with the terms and conditions packaged with the products.

Starfield Optics Inc warranties do not apply to products that are not Starfield Optics Inc brands, or other Starfield Optics Inc produced products, even if packaged or sold with Starfield Optics Inc products.

 

The Details

The Limited Product Warranty for Products Purchased in the USA or Canada (Including South America and Mexico) from Starfield Optics Inc. directly or one of our Authorized Dealers. 

Starfield Optics Inc. is the owner and assumes liability for all warranties of Starfield Optics. During the applicable warranty period, Starfield Optics Inc. will repair or replace the product, or part thereof, found upon inspection by Starfield Optics Inc. to be defective, provided the defective part or product is returned to Starfield Optics Inc., freight prepaid, with verification of valid warranty.

 

Starfield Optics Inc. products purchased outside the United States and Canada are not included in this warranty but may be covered under separate warranties issued by authorized Starfield Optics Inc. International Distributors.  Products purchased through non-authorized channels including but not limited to Alibaba, Aliexpress or eBay are excluded from any The Limited Product Warranty.  To insure that your warranty is active and valid please purchased from Authorized Dealers and retain your proof of purchase.

 

Disclaimer
This warranty is not valid in cases where the product has been abused or mishandled or where unauthorized repairs have been attempted or performed. Starfield Optics Inc. specifically disclaims special, indirect, or consequential damages or lost profits, which may result from a breach of this warranty. Any implied warranties that cannot be disclaimed are hereby limited to a term of one year from the date of purchase by the original retail purchaser.

Starfield Optics Inc. reserves the right to change product specifications or to discontinue products without prior notice. All Starfield Optics Inc. warranties are limited to the original owner. 

Customers living outside of the Canada, who have purchased a Starfield Optics Inc. product in the Canada, your warranty is valid within the Canada, however, customers returning a product from outside the Canada for warranty repair/maintenance are responsible for shipping fees (customs, fees, duties, etc.) to and from our facility.

Certain provincial laws do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the disclaimers, exclusions or limitations may not apply to you, and you might have additional rights.
