Artesky SolarOptic filter ND 5.0 A4 size
The SolarOptic solar filter is ideal for building high-quality filters for observing and photographing the Sun with telescopes, binoculars, cameras, video cameras and CMOS.
It complies with European CE safety standards and offers high-quality optical characteristics.
It reduces the intensity of sunlight by 99.999%.
The filter material used, developed and produced by a German company, consists of a thin sheet of specially designed plastic material, free of inhomogeneities and with a thickness of only 0.012 mm.
This material offers the same optical quality as a glass filter with parallel flat faces, reducing the intensity of sunlight by over 100,000 times.
A special coating, applied to both sides of the sheet, ensures uniform filtering, neutralizing any small holes in the treatment.
Instructions :
- Fold the closing strip of the transparent plastic package over itself to prevent the filter from sticking to the closing glue.
- Wrap a strip of cardboard about 3-4 cm wide around the lens so that it adheres well and can be easily removed.
- Glue the ends of the cardboard strip to form a ring.
- Wrap a second strip of cardboard around the first and glue the ends as done previously.
- Once the glue has set, remove the second cardboard ring.
- Cut a piece of filter of the appropriate size and place it over the first cardboard ring.
- Insert the second cardboard ring over the first, making sure that the sheet of filter material is blocked between the two.
- Gently pull the edges of the sheet to fit well into the cardboard collar.
- Use the glue to join the two rings with the filter inside and let it dry.
Once these steps are completed, the filter will be ready for use with your optical instrument.
Be careful to follow the instructions carefully to ensure proper assembly and adequate protection while observing the Sun.
