The Orion 20mm Illuminated Centering Eyepiece is a specialized wide-angle eyepiece designed for precise object alignment, telescope setup, and astrophotography guiding. With its 20 mm focal length and wide 70° apparent field of view, it allows astronomers to easily locate and center stars during GoTo alignment, polar alignment, or guiding operations.

At the center of the field is a precision etched illuminated crosshair reticle, powered by a red LED illuminator with adjustable brightness. This illumination allows the crosshair to remain visible without overwhelming faint stars, making it ideal for nighttime use while preserving dark adaptation.

The eyepiece features fully multi-coated optics, improving light transmission and reducing reflections for bright, high-contrast views. Its comfortable 16 mm eye relief and wide field make it much easier to locate and keep guide stars centered compared to traditional narrow-field reticle eyepieces.

Built with a durable aluminum body and a standard 1.25″ barrel threaded for filters, the 20 mm illuminated centering eyepiece is compatible with most telescopes and accessories.
