By day, the internal pressure-tuned H-alpha module delivers <0.35Å bandpass performance with Doppler True tuning.
By night, remove the solar module in minutes. You then have a premium 70mm f/6 refractor for lunar, planetary, and deep-sky observation.
The ED doublet objective provides the color correction and contrast that observers demand. This Lunt design is built for both visual use and imaging.
The 2" dual-speed focuser with 10:1 fine focus reduction handles heavy imaging loads. It also delivers the precision that narrow-band solar observation requires.
Pressure tuning eliminates the angle-dependent sweet spot of tilt-tuned systems. The entire 60mm aperture delivers uniform bandpass across the field.
Dial in prominences at the limb, then shift to surface detail with a twist of the pressure knob. That control is a key strength of this solar telescope.
What You'll See with This Solar Telescope
By day, you see the full hydrogen-alpha chromosphere at <0.35Å. Prominences arc off the solar limb, while filaments trace dark paths across the disk.
Active regions come alive with magnetic detail. Pressure tuning lets you scan through the chromosphere in depth.
As a 60mm solar instrument, it collects 50% more light than a 50mm instrument. That reveals finer structure and brighter prominences.
By night, the Moon appears in crisp, high-contrast detail. Planetary disks benefit from the color correction that an ED doublet provides.
Deep-sky objects are within the reach of a 70mm aperture, from double stars to bright clusters.
