New OAG MAX – Refined Design, Improved Performance

We’re excited to introduce the latest version of our OAG MAX! Based on valuable user feedback, we’ve made thoughtful refinements to both its appearance and functionality.

What’s changed?

🔹 Slimmer Profile – The focuser housing has been redesigned to be significantly narrower. The maximum outer diameter has been reduced from 53mm to 46mm. This slimmer profile provides better clearance in tight imaging trains, helping to avoid mechanical interference between components.

🔹 Enhanced Light Leak Prevention – The structural redesign isn’t just about looks. By optimizing the internal geometry, we’ve effectively minimized light leakage – a critical improvement for off-axis guiding, where stray light can compromise guide camera performance.

🔹 Helical Focuser with Smoother Action – The rotation force has been reduced, improving user comfort and making adjustments easier than ever.

Why it matters:

The narrower focuser allows for better compatibility with a wider range of accessories and reduces the risk of mechanical interference. Meanwhile, the enhanced light-proofing ensures cleaner guide star signals, giving you more reliable tracking during long exposures.

No Vignetting Design

FHD-OAG use 8*14mm prism, it is close to 16:9 format. It can give no vignetting result on Xena-M camera, and because the prism height is only 8mm, the prism could closer to light path center and accept more lights.
