Easiest finder I’ve used

The use experience of this device is great. I understand now why it is so popular
But it would be nice if it could use common finder shoe for mounting
It would be nice if the product was updated

In fact, there is an option from a third party that is available, so you can use the telrad on a redular finder shoe (Synta Bar)

Telrads are the best, as long as you have the room to mount them. Very reliable.

A must have for dobsonian telescopes

This is a must have for a manual dobsonian telescope. It's easy to install, align and use. The telrad does not magnify the object you're looking for. In most cases, you star hop to find objects with a Dobsonian. TheTelrad is perfect for this. You can see exactly what you're pointing at. It has not completely replaced my finderscope, but it's what I use most of the time. It has taken the frustration out of finding objects in the night sky.
When I ordered this item from Astronomy Plus, it arrived in perfect condition and in a timely manner.
