ZWO Advanced Electronic Automatic Focuser 5V EAF

Introducing 5V EAF, this electronic focuser, like its previous version, enables precise, dynamic focus control for planetary and deep-sky imaging, while only connected to a 5V USB-port.

Compared to the old version of the EAF focuser, the main change of the 5V EAF is to eliminate the need for a 12V power supply port. Now you can directly connect it to your camera, laptop or ASIAIR PRO via the USB 2.0 port and use a cable for both data transmission and power supply! This makes the cable management much easier, as well as reducing the need for additional power outlets.

The innovative decorative pattern on the EAF is inspired by the changes of Airy disk during focusing showing how the focusing curve gives a local minimum at best focus – giving an easy explanation on how the EAF works just with a glance on the cover!

    Zwo EAF 5V

    I just bought 3 x Zwo EAF 5v, I put one on my Askar 71f refactor, I put one on my 9.25 Celestron SCT, and I put one on my Ioptron 6 inch Newtonian. I do have to say I needed to get longer screws for my Ioptron 6 Inch, I ended up buying M3 screws fine thread 20 mm long in order to make it work and had to get the adapter milled. Also with the 9.25 Celestron I had to become inventive because its 20 years old and bracket for 9.25 is for the Edge version. The focuser's work as intended, and received great service from Astronomy Plus. I totally recommend them.
